Arenal Volcano North Pacific Expedition

Day 1

Upon arrival a representative of Coasts & Mountains will meet you at the International Airport Juan Santamaría, to take you to the hotel.

Day 2

08:00 AM After breakfast our naturalist guide will pick you up to take you to the Arenal Volcano, one of the most active of the world. Afternoon, ride your bike from the hotel to the Volcán Arenal National Park. Then hike to the lava flow, an impressive deposit from 1992. Afternoon optional visit to natural Hot Springs . Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 3

08:00 AM After breakfast, ride your bike around the majestic Lake Arenal to Puerto San Luis where you will board the support vehicle for your transfer to Miravalles, Guanacaste. Meals: B,L,D.

Day 4

08:00 AM After breakfast transfer to the slope of Miravalles Volcano, where you will pick up your bike to start riding uphill going from the tropical rain forest to the cool Tropical Cloud forest of the extinct Santa María Volcano, from there you start riding rolling hills crossing 7 rivers and creeks and then you will take a long down hill paralel to the canyon of the Río Liberia to finish in a landscape of tropical dry forest to arrive to the white city of Liberia . Transfer to Hacienda Guachipelín. Meals: B,L,D

Day 5

07:30 AM After breakfast, you will get ready to discover hidden waterfalls, pastures and blue water rivers colored by the volcanic activity, while you exercise your legs riding a great bike all over the trails. After this event you will have lunch and in the afternoon take a 15 minutes walk to the KAZM Canyon tour where you will swing like Tarzan from platform to platform along the canyon of the Río Blanco. Our specialized guides are very professional and will make sure that you have a safe experience. Overnight at Hacienda Guachipelín. Meals: B,L,D.

Day 6

07:30 AM Visit the mud pots at the Volcán Rincón de la Vieja National Park. Transfer to Hotel in Gulf of Papagayo. Afternoon at leisure to explore the beach and enjoy the warm waters of the tropical pacific of Costa Rica. Meals: B,L,D

Day 7

08:00 AM Tranfer to the town of Sardinal where you will start riding your bike along the North Pacific crossing several beautiful beaches to arrive to Playa Conchal or Playa Real. Then transfer back to Gulf of Papagayo. Overnight in Papagayo. Meals: B,L,D

Day 8

12:30 AM After a free morning to go kayaking or to relax by the beach, lunch will be served at the hotel and then transfer to San José for overnight. Meals: B, L, D.

Day 9

Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
