Tour 1 - Pedals and Paddles

Biking and Kayaking at Orosi Valley - Full Day

Our journey starts in the southern foothills of the old Metropoli, Cartago after having driven by the ruins of the Church of Santiago, Cartago and the impressive architectural jewell of the Basilica of Los Angeles. As soon as we get fully equipped with our bikes, helmets and hydrating drinks, we will ride our bikes downhill from Agua Caliente to the majestic Orosi Valley passing through coffee plantations, pine trees and farming land to arrive to the Colonial Church of Orosi. Then we will be transferred to the Lake of Cachi and will switch from Pedals to Paddles and our next adventure will take us to the beautiful landscapes on the scenic Lake of Cachi surrounded by the rising mountains that have created this paradisiacal valley. On your way back you will drive by one of the most important hydroelectric plants of the country and you will come back to your hotel with beautiful memories of some of the most breathtaking landscapes of the country. Level I, II, III

Duration: hours from and to hotel with am departures.
Includes: bilingual, professional guides, first class equipment, transportation, water and snacks, support vehicle.
Recommendations: Bike shoes or something similar, rubber soled shoes that can get wet, sport clothes appropriate for both activities, water proof sun block, hat for sun protection, sunglasses with a strap, towel and change of clothes.

Tour 2 - Irazu Volcano and Kayaking

Lake of Cachi - Full Day

We will drive up the slope of the Central Volcanic Mountain Range where most of costarican vegetables are grown, enjoying spectacular views of the Central “valley” to arrive right to the crater of Irazu Volcano “the Mother of Thunders and earthquakes” as our natives used to call it. We will take a short walk to explore 3 craters of this monument to the power of nature. Then we will drive down to the Orosi Valley where our upper body will exercise while we paddle on the majestic Lake of Cachi surrounded by the rising mountains that have created this paradisiacal valley. On your way back you will drive by one of the most important hydroelectric plants of the country. Level I, II, III.

Duration: 8 hours from and to hotel with am departures.
Includes: bilingual, professional guides, first class equipment, transportation, water and snacks, support vehicle.

Tour 3 - Orosi Valley and Kayaking

Lake of Cachi - Half Day

This trip will show us some of the historical places of Costa Rica’s colonial days and on the XIX Century such as the ruins of the Church of Santiago and the amazing architecture of the Basilica of Los Angeles. Then we will continue driving down to one of the most beautiful valleys of Costa Rica. Then you will paddle on the lake of Cachi surrounded by the rising mountains that have created this paradisiacal valley. On your way back you will drive by one of the most important hydroelectric plants of the country. Level I, II, III.

Duration: 4 ½ hours with am and pm departures.
Includes: bilingual, professional guides, first class equipment, transportation, water and snacks, support vehicle.

LEVELS: I = Beginners, II = Intermedium and III = Advanced
